Eggman: putting that 300 IQ to the test.

Nice animation and the facial expressions were the most entertaining bit about this flash. That being said, the joke itself has already been done before and the ending result was very predictable... well except eggman breakdancing, that's still funny.

thanks for the kind words, actually i have been told a lot that the ending was quite unexpected but you know not everyone has seen everything thanks again

B'aaaaaaaaw

Nice going dude. Animation is pretty sweet and although Twilight does look a bit on the pudgy side, I like how you kinda went off model and adapted the ponies to you're own style (whether it was intentional or not). Wish there was more weight shown when Spike flew off (you know, moving up and down a bit) but I suppose that's my only gripe with this. Nice job.

Thank you for taking the time to make a review here, I appreciate it!

I originally intended to try staying on model as much as I could, but ended up scrapping that and taking on my own style of drawing to try and stay concurrent with the blog I've been running recently, along with time constraints. And yes, I've been getting a lot of talk about Twilight's pudginess here; I'll have to keep practicing drawing the ponies on my tablet and work to improve on that.

As for Spike flying with more weight, I completely agree with you there. When I first animated that scene, Spike flew almost like a weightless bird, and I knew there was NO WAY a big heavy dragon like him could fly that well. So, after watching some footage of dragons flying in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (lol), I got a better idea of the weight distribution and reanimated the scene. It's not perfect, and I do agree that he still flies a little too easily than he should, but I thought it certainly looked a lot better than what it was before, which was a complete mess.

In other words, animating Spike flying was not an easy feat. I will have to continue to improve on that aspect, especially with drawing more complicated creatures and objects like him.

Nostalgic

This was definitely reminiscent of the classic Looney Tunes in my opinion (I noticed you listed it as an inspiration so that makes sense). If you were were trying to go for classic humor, then you captured them very well; unfortunately, I find that's also it's down fall. Most of the jokes have essentially been done before, so it's hard to find something to have a good laugh at. I find the pacing is also a bit slow because every joke required build up (granted most jokes do but I suggest having less build up before the punchline, other wise the joke becomes predictable).

The animation overall was very well done. Some parts looked a little 'iffy but hey, no ones perfect (one part specifically was the fishing rod being tugged, it didn't really seem to have tension on the line). The backgrounds are great, I find they make the characters pop out quite well. I also loved that you used orchestra to direct the characters actions (again, just like Looney Tunes).

All in all, The animation was great, loved the sound, just the humor wasn't anything unique or new. Awesome job nonetheless!

I think I did play it safe with the themes a little, but that way my intentions this time ^^

I'm not very active but I'll be sure to post stuff when it gets done.
